In August, five of the largest tobacco companies joined together in a lawsuit to block the FDA from requiring graphic warning labels on cigarettes that show the health consequences of smoking. Last week, Federal District Court Judge Richard Leon gave them their wish, deciding that such warnings infringe on the First Amendment rights of tobacco companies.
